Child Wise is Australia’s leading child protection charity working in Australia, Asia and the Pacific to prevent child abuse.
Our programs seek to prevent child abuse by providing greater awareness and understanding; as well as providing the tools and strategies for individuals, organisations and communities to address these issues.
Child Wise has adopted a multi-faceted approach to address the abuse and exploitation of children.
We combine direct support, counselling, education, advocacy, program implementation, participatory training, capacity building and research to provide a comprehensive, strong and specialised service that provides dynamic responses to protect children everywhere.
All Child Wise’s programs work comprehensively across a continuum of prevention, protection and recovery. They are child-focused, and informed by a fundamental belief that children have a right to physical and psychological safety, and that we as individuals, communities and governments have the capacity to protect children.
Child Wise is primarily committed to strengthening the capacity of individuals, communities and governments to protect children from sexual abuse and exploitation. Our solution-focused programs equip people with knowledge and tools to shield children from harm.
